  • STL Pies

For the second year in a row, Motion Student Ministries in Pratt took on the task of holiday baking.  The Saturday before Thanksgiving we spent about 15 hours making 3 different kinds of pies.  Pecan, Pumpkin and Apple are the choices.  We pre-sold the pies for 2 weeks prior to baking day.  This year we were able to sell and make 120 pies.  That translates into a $1,000 donation to Speed the Light and some very delicious pies.  Don't hesitate to think outside the box.  Raising money can be fun!

  • STL Media Equipment

Woooooo hoooooooo!!!!!!! Can you hear us all the way from Spain??  This is so wonderful. We started practices and crazed pre-production for the next Women of the Bible story the last few weeks. We are going crazy. Discovered today $500 of hard drives and another $100 in batteries that weren't in the project budget so YEAH! KANSAS STL!  Also unbeknowdst to anyone, we had an edit suite computer die very unexpectantly -- we had scrounged enough from a couple of places for the computer but no screens (the new computer will talk 4K like our cameras but our old monitors will not) so now we will not have to delay having a full 4K edit suite! God has great timing and so do Kansas Youth. This is going to make a HUGE difference on this project and we weren't expecting to do this all now.Anyway -- we will try to send a proper thank you after shooting but wanted you to know we are SO grateful and excited!   Denise & Kerry Godwin, Missionaries to Spain with IMM (International Media Ministries)

  • STL Bake Sale

A few weeks ago, our middle school students wanted to put on a STL Bake Sale on a Sunday morning. With the church leadership’s permission, one of our volunteers partnered with the students and gathered people in the church who would want to bake some delicious goodies. Together they raised over $400 in just one Sunday morning. That morning was also significant for the students as members of our church prayed over our middle school, high school, and college-aged students at the end of the service.  Michael Scott, Student Ministries Pastor, Evangel Assembly of God

"But store up for yourselves treasure in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

It's not about the money.  It's about the souls that can't be reached if money isn't given to help our missionaries.  We must store up for ourselves treasures in heaven.  Everything around us screams that the economy is terrible and that the world is in turmoil.  But God is in control.  Believe the report of Joshua and Caleb that we can do it together!
